Description & specifications
Sieve with handle Ø15 cm — fine 16-mesh netting
The classic Japanese koshiki: a fine-mesh strainer with a long handle, for when stock, sauce or dashi needs to be strained perfectly clear. The netting is woven from a heavier gauge wire than usual and tightened to 16 mesh, so even the fine particles are caught.
Like the rest of the Japan Quality series it is formed in one seamless piece — no welds where food residue can lodge. Both basket and handle are 18-8 stainless steel.
The small one for straining sauce, stock and dressing straight into a bowl.
Size: Ø15 cm · Weight: 132 g · Material: 18-8 stainless steel · Mesh: 16 mesh
Maintenance & use
Never cut into bones or frozen items as this may damage the egg. Always wash the knife by hand and dry it thoroughly immediately.
Please note that both the blade and handle can be seriously damaged and broken if the knife is washed in a dishwasher – this also applies to stainless steel and wooden handles.
